“You look a lot bigger than the last time that I saw you,” exclaimed Matt.
“What are you talking about? I look like I always have,” responded Mark.
“Maybe I’m wrong, but you look like you put on some weight.”
“I just finished eating dinner, so I might be bloated,” said John. He grabbed his stomach fat and shook it. After a few jiggles, he said, “Maybe I have gained a few pounds. It’s probably with all the things that have happened to me recently.”
“You’re talking about the recent break-up and getting fired on the same day, right?”
Shooting dangers at his roommate with his eyes, Mark nodded his head in agreement. “Yeah, things haven’t been going my way, but that all going to change.”
“How? You went out dinner a while ago. What could have changed while you were gone?”
Mark opened his mouth to responded, but he remembered the promise that he made to Anthony. What was he going to tell Mark?
