"You're right. I would be 33 inches taller by the time try outs came." Zeinab said, unphased by the sheer numbers she could possible gain.
"You would be a giant! You would be...more than 9 feet tall!
"9'5"." Zeinab said, and drank her soda.
Kelsey paused, giving Zeinab a shocked look. "Look how much muscle you gained...even your boobs look bigger. You will look...You will be...my God Zeinab, don't do this to yourself..."
Zeinab shook her head. "I have to. I want to. You don't understand. People have mocked me for my height my whole life. But it's brought me into this. Without it, I wouldn't be good at volleyball, or any sports. I would have nothing. I will be the best, the biggest, the strongest." She said, still without much passion. More like neutrality to her voice, as though this was something she had thought about before.
"Zeinab don't...what if this isn't healthy."
"I don't care." Zeinab said.
"Please, think of what might happen, what if this harms you in some way?"
"It won't don't worry about it."
"Zeinab..."
"Stop! I'm doing this, can we talk about something else please?"
Kelsey shook her head, scared of what she had made Zeinab become.
