He showed up to her house and when she opened the door, he was astonished at how amazingly beautiful she looked. He had not realized, until this night, was a treasure she was to him. They knew it was time to go to their friend's house for dinner, so they did not spend much time at her house, but hurried and left for dinner. On the way to dinner he told her how beautiful she looked tonight and she was more than touched by his compliment.
As their arrived and entered the house, he placed his arms around her shoulders to show everyone who his date was for the evening; he wanted to make sure she knew he was showing her off as his date, even though they were still just friends, but maybe more before the end of the night.
