“The first is quite simple.” Kayva said, lifting Seymour between her index finger and thumb, standing up, and then waving her other hand over the ground. At her spell’s command twelve-foot tall walls of rose plants rose from the ground. “A simple maze. I hope you don’t mind roses; I just like them a great deal. The smell, the delicate petals, I think they’re nature’s perfect flower.” Kayva said as she set Seymour down in the center of the maze. “Roses are a very fine flower.” He agreed. Truthfully he didn’t care what plant Kayva used for the maze, all that mattered to him right now was surviving her challenges. “Now, your challenge is to find your way out of the maze before time runs out.” Kayva said as an hourglass appeared in her hand. “Ready… Go!” she said turning the hourglass over then disappearing in a cloud of purple smoke.
Seymour dashed madly through the maze. Apparently Kayva did indeed want him to have a chance since the maze did nothing to hinder him. Eventually he came to a long and wide corridor, and saw the exit at the other end. He started walking towards it then saw it was starting to close, meaning his time was running out. He ran as fast as he could then dove through the opening just before it closed. Seymour got onto his knees and started brushing the dirt off his short when he heard someone clapping. He looked up and saw Kayva, at human size, leaning against a tree applauding. “Very nice Seymour. That dive at the end was spectacular.” She said before helping up to his feet.
The next challenge?
