Betty ducked back inside just as the first of the undead rounded the corner, with luck it didn't see her. Rather then stay in the front of the dinner with all the windows she headed for the kitchen.
The door to the kitchen swung shut behind her and she looked around the dimly lit kitchen, only one of the lights were on. Betty started to looked around the kitchen just to make sure here were no surprises in the kitchen, there wasn't, what there was was a good set of butcher knives, she took one as it would be better then going unarmed.
At that moment she heard the windows in the front of the diner shatter and the snarls of the zombies. Betty ran to the serving window and looked out, there were about 20 of them coming in though the windows and what looked like more behind them, they didn't seem to know she was -CLANG- Betty spun around, she had backed into one of the frying pans and it had fallen to the floor, she spun back to the window and all eyes were on the kitchen, as one the undead surged forward towards the door of the kitchen.
Betty would have one chance, the back door, she didn't know if it was locked but there was no way she could fight that many with a butcher knife. She ran for the door just as the door to the rest of the dinner opened to alow the first of the undead into the kitchen.
She ran and and made it to the hall she could see the door.
She sprinted and threw her full weight against it and
