Amy stared blankly at the computer screen, trying to think of a strong opening statement for her last paragraph. Her mind blanked on her, and she couldn't think of a thing. She slowly began to type, getting slightly frustrated because the opening was so poor. It could have easily been mistaken for a freshman's work. That would not fly with her Honors English professor. She sighed, as her mind blanked on her again. She was losing her focus and having trouble remembering what she was writing about. She quickly used a few basic filler sentences, trying to rack her brain for more ideas. The essay was getting worse and worse.
She glared at her screen. Her essay looked like it was written by a twelve year old and a poorly worded one, at that. It was getting harder and harder for Amy to pay attention. She didn't even notice all the spelling and grammar errors as she slowly typed at the keyboard. She looked as though this was her first time using one. Amy banged her fists into the keyboard out of frustration. She couldn't even understand what her essay was supposed to be about. The topic seemed so foreign to her, it was driving her insane. Amy stared at the screen blankly. She could not pronounce most of the words in her essay and had no idea what they meant. After a while of staring confusedly at the screen, she realized that she couldn't even read. She tried to type one last sentence but her mind was at a blank for words. She couldn't spell anytgung she typed, so her last paragraph looked as though someone repeatedly slammed their fists against the keyboard. Any almost cried out of frustration. What was happening to her?
