Ilirea slithered though the forest, sniffing the air for the scent of prey. She pulled a strand of her long red hair away from her sapphire blue eyes and tucked in behind her elf-like ears as she caught a scent. She followed the trail for only a few minutes when she came upon a female naga fighting down a human female. The naga had soon incapacitated her prey and was about to devour the woman when she saw Ilirea. “Oh, good morning miss.” The naga said with a bow, “I was about to partake in breakfast with this young catch, but you may have her.” Ilirea smiled and shook her head. Giant nagas like her were revered, almost worshipped, by the normal sized nagas; under their laws she had the power, and right, to take the prey of a smaller naga if she so wished. In fact she could eat the smaller nagas if she wanted to. “Thank you little one, but I prefer to catch my own prey. It’s much more rewarding.” Ilirea replied the smaller naga.
The tiny naga’s face lit up with joy as she bowed her head to Ilirea. She then turned to the woman in her coils and said, “I guess you’re stuck with me sweetie.” Ilirea smiled as the smaller naga started engulfing her catch, and then started off to find some prey for herself.
