I looked up at Emily who was still staring at me with anticipation and greed like I was a puppy she had always wanted. The water filled the tub and I was floating among the foam.
"Emily what happened this morning after you saw me?". Emily's eyes and face exploded with excitement as though seeing me talk was a display of fireworks she grabbed me and said "You came walking out of your house (she dragged me across the side of the bathtub) then after that you fell (she turns me over in her hand) then there was a flash and you were gone (she put me down next to a bottle of shampoo) I walked over to where you were there were pieces's of a broken device and you were tiny (she giggled before adding) Tiny Tina then I picked you up and took you inside".
While Emily washed I sat on the side as thought after thought haunted me. The only thing that could get me back to normal was destroyed. My mom thought I was out with a friend and didn't know when I was supposed to be back it would be days before she sent out a full search and rescue. The only two people who knew about my current situation were Emily and I. Emily's single mother was rarely home and at my current size I wouldn't dare try to warn her twin brother. I looked over at Emily, what would she do to me? Would she take care of me and keep me alive? As I thought about how I would have to rely on a teenager I couldn't help but feel like a pet.
"All clean your turn Tiny Tina". She grabbed me again and slathered me with body wash and scrubbed me hard with a washcloth until finally she said "All done". After nearly melting from the heat of a hairdryer Emily (wrapped in a yellow towel) placed her open palm in front of me I look up at her questionably. "Hop on silly" she said in a cheery tone. I jumped on her hand and we were off.
