"So," said Rinoa, raising up, "What brings you here, Sora?"
Sora took a moment to think about it, taking quick glances at the soles of Rinoa's feet. He just had to play with them some how. Then it hit him; what if he asked to bury her as a joke? Then while she's buried, Sora could play with her feet and she couldn't do anything about it. Sora grinned at this little plan.
"Well I was kinda wondering, Rinoa," Sora began, "would it be okay to bury you in the sand?" Rinoa's eyes widened at Sora's request.
"What?" she giggled, "Why would you wanna do that?"
"Well... it's a rite of passage for all new kids on the island," Sora lied. "We bury them as a way to accept them. What do you say?"
Rinoa was a little hesitant at first. But, being the new girl on the islands, she did want the others to think she was cool. Especially Sora, she thought he was kinda cute. "Well... okay."
Sora smiled.
"Great!" he cheered. He then summoned the Keyblade and shouted "Wind!". In a matter of seconds, a large gust swept away a bunch of sand, leaving a nice hole for Rinoa to lye in. "You ready?" Sora asked, extending his hand.
"I guess so," replied Rinoa. She took Sora's hand and sat down in the cold sand.
"Alright, here we go," Sora said as he began to push sand over Rinoa's body. Little did she know that Sora had other plans for her and her cute little feet.
"Brr... it's cold," whined Rinoa.
"Sorry about that," said Sora.
"That's okay," Rinoa giggled.
A few minutes later, Sora had finally finished putting sand over Rinoa's body. Only her head could be seen at one end of the mound.
"Done," Sora said with a matter of pride.
"Oh good," replied Rinoa. "Am I accepted among the islanders now?" Upon hearing that, a mischievous grin appeared on Sora's face.
"Um... not quite," said Sora. He then slowly made his way over to the other side of the sand mound, where Rinoa's feet were buried. Rinoa, confused, watched as Sora began to dig.
"Sora?" she asked, "What are you doing?" Moments later, she felt her feet get pulled out from the sand by Sora's hands. "W-why are you grabbing my feet? I thought all you had to do was bury me."
"Burying you was only the first part of your acceptance," Sora lied with a huge smile, staring at Rinoa's feet. "Your real test starts now."
Rinoa, nervous about what was about to happen with her feet, gulped down some courage. She tried to wiggle free, but Sora packed the sand on her good, she couldn't budge!
