"I can't wait to kill you Siph. My next
fight will be with Resseck. I'm going to
love giving him a slow death." Krath said,
and squeezed harder.
Images of Krath's claws splitting into
Resseck's body filled Siph's head. He closed
his eyes. Resseck and him had always been
friends, always. There had never been a
moment in their lives when one hated the
other. The thought of Siph letting Krath
pass to fight Resseck made Siph want to hurl.
Suddenly, some of Resseck's words came into
Siph's head. It had been a long time ago,
but Siph remembered them like they were
yesterday. They were the words he lived by.
Resseck had said, "I don't want to fight. I
don't like to kill Siph, I can't do it. If
ever the time comes when the pressure is on
and I have an enemy down with my claws to his
throat, I wouldn't be able to do it."
Siph hadn't believe that Resseck wouldn't be
able to kill someone then, but now...it was
different. Resseck had changed since
childhood. Resseck was no longer the little,
weak thing that had a bad temper anymore. He
was strong, smart, and above all...mellow.
Siph knew that even if Resseck had a chance
to kill Krath, he wouldn't. Evenif Krath
killed Siph, Resseck wouldn't be able to do
it. Killing was not Resseck's thing, he was
against it. Resseck could beat people
without killing them, but Krath would either
have to be killed or kill.
Siph knew he couldn't let Krath get to
Resseck, because Resseck was the only friend
Siph had ever had. A sudden burst of energy
flowed through Siph, and he brought up his
arms, throwing Krath off balance and the two
of them tumbled to the ground. Siph rolled
away from Krath and snarled at him. "I won't
let you get to Resseck!" He screamed and let
his claws extend to the full length. It was
time to get rid of Krath once and for all.
