Spencer was a little bit jealous of his younger sister, she being a smart kid in school got more perks from the parents than he ever did, reasons enough for him to give the elixir a first try.
He sits on his bed with the strange blue glass bottle held in his left hand, he thinking, what was it that Carly did that he could wish upon her a bit of trouble?
As he sat there, mom came upstairs, she talking with Carly, was telling her to be good and be careful.
This provokes some interest in Spencer, and he setting the blue bottle down on his bed-stand, he went out into the hallway, and asked, "What us Carly getting tomorrow?"
Mom turns, she forgetting that Spencer was upstairs and if she had thought of it, she might not have blurted out the news of the class trip Carly was going along on to a petting zoo and the bird sanctuary.
Spencer just smiles, and he poking his head into the bedroom of Carly, he wished her a fun day she will not soon forget.
Both Carly and Mom wondered why Spencer would be so considerate as kind to wish his little sister a fun time when he was usually jealous of her.
Spencer returned to his bedroom and checking his computer, he drew up the web site of the petting zoo and the sanctuary.
He sat there thinking, holding the blue bottle, and something from holding the bottle began to work evil thoughts, diabolical ideas, of how he might get rid of his sister, permanently.
