The Diamond Authority had taken over the Earth. Of course, it wasn't any surprise considering how superior their technology and weaponry were compared to Earth. Even with all of the military might of the Earth teaming up, they stood no chance to the gem's superior technology and even physiology.
What was surprising is that Pink Diamond convinced the other Diamonds to not completely terraform the planet and wipe out all life on it. Though it did take considerable effort on the short Diamond's part, she managed to get them to see reason, primarily by arguing that humans could be used for entertainment and work.
So White allowed Pink to run Earth on the condition that if the gems living on Earth aren't satisfied with their lives, then White will have the Earth terraformed just like many colonies before.
From that point on, the human race were slaves to the gems, doing menial labor, serving as pets, and various other roles that many would consider degrading. However, Pink did make sure that the gems on Earth didn't overly abuse humans. Pink managed to do a great job at running the Earth, most of the gems were happy with the humans, and they didn't have much of a weight on their shoulders under Pink's rule compared to the other Diamonds. Even though most gems on Earth were satisfied, Pink always strived to do better and help those beneath her. In fact, there was one gem in particular that Pink desired to assist.
Jasper marched her way towards Pink Diamond's palace. The quartz had been given orders to meet her Diamond and receive special instructions for a critical mission. The orange-skinned woman was enormous, even for a quartz. Jasper was at least twice as tall as the tallest of humans. On top of that, she had humongous breasts that would make one think of gargantuan, smooth pumpkins. Jasper owned incredibly wide hips and thighs that could smother and crush multiple skulls at once. In addition, Jasper had a large stomach that stuck out considerably and appeared to be enticingly soft. What had to possibly be Jasper's best asset was her butt, massive soft cheeks that could crush ordinary chairs. Thusly, she required chairs explicitly reinforced for larger gems.
Jasper continued to march towards the palace's throne room, her assets jiggling with each step, her sole focus on getting to her Diamond. She cared little for the other gems and much less the humans. In fact, Jasper hated living on Earth. After the war, there was no fighting to be had, and even though the gems won and enslaved the humans, it was disgusting in Jasper's opinion to see the humans get along with the gems rather than fear them.
"Jasper, I am so glad that you have arrived." Pink Diamond said as she saw Jasper walk into the throne room, the large quartz taking a knee in front of her Diamond.
"Anything for you, my Diamond. I have been alerted that you have an important mission for me. Is there a rebellion that needs to be stopped? A planet to be conquered?" Jasper questioned eagerly, hoping that she'd be able to do more than wait around for something interesting to happen. Jasper got off her knee and stood straight up as she listened to her Diamond.
"While it is true that I do have a mission for you, it is nothing like that," Pink Diamond states.
It took all of Jasper's willpower not to show her disappointment towards this news. However, the born warrior still held onto some amount of hope that whatever Pink had in store for her would give her enjoyment.
"Pearl, bring him in." Pink calls out after turning her head to the side.
Jasper turned towards where Pink was looking. The orange quartz was confused as Pink's Pearl entered the room. She led a young, scrawny boy with dirty blonde hair and emerald green eyes. His expression was difficult to discern, and his attire was the standard blue tunic with a white loin cloth that extended below his knees.
"Jasper, I've been told that you have been going through difficulties on Earth, that the peace is hard for you to deal with," Pink said, crossing her legs and putting her hands together and resting her chin on them as she looked at her subordinate. "So I did some thinking, and I came up with a brilliant idea to help you enjoy being on Earth." Pink adjusts herself once more and gestures to the human boy. "I wish for you to look after this human. His name is Malakos, and it will be your responsibility to make sure that he is happy and well cared for," Pink explains.
Jasper practically shatters on the inside. Of all things that her Diamond has ordered her to do, this had to be the worst possible option. However, due to Jasper's overwhelming desire to display loyalty and follow orders, the massive gem didn't signify that she hated this with every mineral of her being.
"A-as you wish, my Diamond," Jasper said. An insightful person could tell there was some pain in her voice, but she did not show all of it. Instead, the Pearl led the young boy to Jasper before walking away to Pink Diamond's side.
"I'll have some food and supplies sent over to your home to start you off, though, after some time, I'll have you start providing for Malakos on your own," Pink Diamond said. Jasper gave a slow nod acknowledging the order. "I'll be expecting a weekly report, and I'll send over a representative monthly for a direct check-up," Pink elaborated as she eyes Jasper carefully. "And with all that, you are dismissed, and I wish you and Malakos happiness and the best of luck."
"Yes, my Diamond," Jasper salutes before looking over at Malakos. She knew she had to carry him back to her home since the small lad couldn't keep up with her. Jasper used her right hand to grab Malakos' back and lifted him, setting him on her back, Malakos knowing to grip onto Jasper's white mane of hair. Jasper turned around, so her back was facing Pink Diamond. The quartz gave a small sigh before making her way back home.
Jasper trudged her way back to her home, ignoring any looks she may be getting from others. While most gems lived together, Jasper played such a heavy role in taking over Earth (even with how easy that was) and was rewarded with her own dwelling to signify her ranking over other quartzes. The solitude that came from living on her own definitely did not contribute to Jasper's existential problems. Finally, Jasper arrived at her large home, which resembled a military base. The gem reached over, grabbed Malakos, and set the young boy on the ground as she stood in front of the door.
At this point, Malakos finally spoke to the blonde, having been entirely silent until now. "Thank you for looking after me, Miss Jasper," Malakos said, showing his appreciation to the large female. He knew that Jasper was assigned to look after him, but he still wanted to show gratitude to the enormous quartz.
Jasper was quiet for several seconds, contemplating what to say. On the one hand, Malakos was a lowly human, but on the other hand, Jasper can tell that Malakos knew his place. With some thinking, the disgruntled soldier decided maybe she could try seeing this task of looking after Malakos instead of some sort of chore, but rather, he's her subordinate. As the lowest ranking subordinate as possible but a subordinate nonetheless, Jasper chose to have Malakos prove himself and see if he could demonstrate he's better than the other lowly humans. "I was given orders to look after you, so that's what I'll do. However, you're going to obey me. In fact, from here on, you'll call me Captain Jasper or just Captain," Jasper instructed as she looked at the young blonde who stood up straight and gave a salute.
"Yes, Captain Jasper!" Malakos said. His earnestness and energy actually caused Jasper to smile a bit. This was actually the first time Jasper smiled at a human in a non-threatening way.
"You're quick to understand. I like that," Jasper said as she opened the door to her home and led Malakos inside.
Jasper didn't bother giving a tour to Malakos. Even though he did make an adequate first impression, she did not believe that he deserved an entire tour of her home yet. So instead, Jasper brought the small lad into her room. While gems did not require sleep, there was still a massive bed just for her in the room for when she did rest. Initially, Jasper hated the idea of doing something so absolutely unnecessary for gems that lowly organics had to do. However, over time, with so little to do, Jasper found sleep a better alternative to forcing herself to find something to do on this terribly dull planet.
"Captain Jasper. Permission to ask a question?" Malakos pipes up as he stands next to the much more massive woman. Jasper was surprised at how competent Malakos was with his behavior.
"Permission granted," Jasper responded with her husky voice as she looked down at her little charge.
"Where am I going to sleep?"
Jasper was quiet again. Yes, there were plenty of other rooms, but Jasper, despite Malakos being much better already compared to other humans, did not trust the boy to be by himself. The massive quartz contemplated her options before remembering something from other gem and human interactions.
1. Some of the larger gems like to use humans as plush toys, cuddling up to them whether it's the human needing to sleep or just simply enjoying their time together. Jasper has Malakos sleep in the bed with her.
2. Many gems enjoy consuming humans, whether through the mouth or the backway. Jasper thinks that the best way to keep track of Malakos is to have his sleeping quarters be inside her body.
3. Jasper feels that Malakos needs to earn his place, just as she did. Until then, she gives him a cushion to rest in the corner.
4. Jasper is bored and wants to examine the human and his abilities. She can think of a place to store him later   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
