The smoke didn't last very long and quickly parted to reveal a fairly tall and light-skinned young woman possessing a slender build. She had untamed, shoulder-length black hair and very unique crimson colored eyes. Unlike some women that wear large amounts of make-up this woman only used a bit of red lipstick and purple eye shadow to help accent her features. She wore a dress of something that seemed to resemble bandages with a pattern on it similar to those of rose thorns. Under this was what appeared to be a red mesh armor blouse with only the right sleeve being visible. There were bandages on her hands and upper thighs while the Konoha forehead protector rested firmly on her forehead. A pair of regular shinobi sandals completed her appearance. This woman was Kurenai Yūhi, Konoha's foremost genjustu user, sometimes called 'The Mistress of Illusions'.
Kurenai was quick to give a warm smile to her students. "Good morning girls." She acknowledged the various greetings her protégés gave before getting strait to the heart of the matter. "Now girls, I hope you three are ready for our training session cause if not I just might need to ask my friend Anko to pay us a visit." She watch in amusement as the three tried and failed to suppress a shiver at the idea of training with that woman. They had all been introduced to the sadistic snake charmer only a day or two ago. Kurenai still found it odd though that Hinata seemed the most able to get along with her out of the three. Banishing the thought from her mind she decided it was time to get started.
"Alright girls. Now as you may know due to the whole boys shrinking thing we've had to make changes to the ninja system that we use. As such this is the first time that a team like this has been formed. Normally you would have been separated into teams of three and then your jōnin sensei would give you a test that had a 66% fail rate." She stopped and looked at how the faces of her students had gone pale. She almost felt like grinning at how much fun she was going to have with teasing them from here on. "Calm down girls. Like I said that is what we use to do for 'normal' team selection. This however is anything but a normal team. As such this is team setup is being used as an experiment. If things go well then this will be the base from which we will perform all our team setups." And with that said their training began.
-------Hours later------
"Well I have to say that I am rather impressed with how well things went." And she was. Kurenai of course did notice flaws that would need correcting, the most pressing of all being Ino and Sakura's constant fighting and Kiba's alpha-of-the-pack mentality. Besides that, she had noticed some areas of improvement and ingenuity. The most surprising of all coming from Hinata and her partner Naruto. Apparently, Naruto was able to do the impossible and create a solid transformation. Most transformations where illusions that couldn't interact with their surroundings without breaking or dispelling. Naruto however had transformed into a variety of different things and had surprised her yet again when he used Shadow clones. She had read that he could perform the jutsu but, hadn't fully believed it until she saw the boy spamming out clones like it was as easy as breathing. And if that hadn't been enough, Naruto then started using the transformation jutsu in combination with his clones allowing him to transform into things that his size would normally restrict him from. It had been quite the sight, seeing Hinata swing around a full length katana like it was as light as a feather, only for the blade to suddenly change into a set of brass knuckles, then into, of all things, an umbrella. Those where just some of the things he did. With that boy working together with Hinata, she may have the most amazing team in years. 'That is of course if I can train them properly' she thought.
She dismissed her team, only telling them to return here at the same time tomorrow before seemingly shimmering out of sight. With their sensei gone the team slowly separated and made their ways home.
