Giant squid, extending its tentacles towards you.

You freeze for a few seconds. It's huge, easily 55 or 60 feet long, and probably weighs half a ton. You see the tentacles, with their sucker pads flexing, reaching toward you.

You are conflicted. On one level, you know you should swim away from this beast, which obviously intends to make a meal of you. On the other hand, you sometimes wonder what it would feel like to be eaten by one of the sea creatures you love so much. Somehow, it seems like it would be fitting. You wonder what the suckers on the tentacles will feel like when the stick to your skin. Will it be rough? Will it be painful?

The squid's two tentacles are closer now, only a few feet away. The squid is coming closer and closer. The sight of the approaching squid, and its questing tentacles, breaks you out of your reverie. You know you'd better do something, and soon.
