Greg and Steve have known each other since childhood. Growing in a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, they grew up in a conservative community where hard work and traditional family values were expected. Throughout childhood, Greg and Steve were best friends and were virtually inseparable. In high school Greg and Steve secretly began to date. Since Steve was a lineman on the football team and Greg was the class president, neither could afford their sexuality becoming public knowledge. While both tried to attend college together, Steve's athletic scholarship to Michigan and Greg's acceptance to journalism school at Northwestern forced them to take an extended break.
The period of separation was good for both of them. In Chicago Greg developed a new understanding of what it means to be gay man. During his freshman year, he spent nearly every weekend in Boystown and other gay spots in Chicago. These excursions allowed Steve to learn a lot about himself. While he enjoyed the attention and the wild, random sex, he was only marginally attracted to the hard bodies that populated the typical hang-outs. Slowly he realized that he really enjoyed watching guys on campus slowly expand as they make the most of the all-you-can-eat-buffets in the dining halls on campus. On Wednesdays, when he did not have class from 11 to 2, he would sit in a dining hall with a book to spy on the eye candy chowing down. His interest in big man lead him to discover the bear, chub, and chaser community in Chicago. Soon, he began to see fat guys exclusively, except for his visits to see Steve.
At Ann Arbor, Steve began to feel more comfortable with his teammate, although he did not confide in them he was gay. While he worked extra hard during the football season, he and his fellow linemen always lived to live it up, especially once the season was over. Every year, they had a contest about who would gain the most weight during the office season. While Steve never won, he was always a prime contender. Steve always loved to eat and enjoyed the freedom of not having to watch what or how much he ate or drank. For Greg the off-season was great since it gave him an opportunity to combine his love for Steve and love of big men. Each year during spring break, Steve would visit Greg in Chicago and Greg would do his best to make him as fat as possible. Steve loved the cycle of eating and fucking, and Greg hoped to slowly seduce Steve to a lifestyle of fatness.
After college, Greg and Steve moved together to New York where Greg had a job with a small magazine. Steve worked a waiter and part-time football coach until he was able to find a decent sales job. As they settled into their life together, Greg tried again to encourage Steve to gain weigh by
