Shaking, I answered my cellphone as I heard mom walking towards the front door. "He-Hello?" sobbing, I said.
"Megan! It's John, next door!" concerned, a male voice said. "Are you alright? My cell rang and I answered, hearing you screaming something about your teeth!"
I began to cry harder, feeling very frightened and confused. "John, please help me!" begging, I wailed. "I know its crazy but my teeth are covered in some kind of metal." my head pounding worse, I muttered, "It hurts... It hurts..."
"Don't do anything, Megan!" firmly, John replied. "I am on my way to you now!"
Unknown to me, mom answered the door to find my other neighbor, Doctor Hagen with a medical bag in his hand and a concerned look on his face. Dr Hagen was a not a very young man, early forties, but he looked as if he were in his mid twenties. He was handsome with his light brown hair, blue eyes, and fairly muscular figure. "You're timing is perfect, Max." with a relieved look, mom said. "Something is wrong with Megan, she's screaming something about her teeth." she teared up a little, adding, "I've never heard her this hysterical before."
"I'll take a look at her." stepping in, Max said. "Actually, I thought I heard her screaming on my computer. I recognized her voice and figured her scream was echoing thought my window so I came over immediately."
Mom's cellphone and house phone were still ringing so she excused herself and ran to the phone while Max saw himself up while John came running in behind him. "Megan called me, hysterical!" breathing heavily, he said. "Something about her teeth being covered in metal!"
"I'm on my way up to see her now, Mr Moore." calmly, Max said. "You can assist by helping me to calm Megan down, I can still hear her screaming."
John nodded and ran up the stairs to find me sitting on the floor, hugging my knees. I was terrified, watching every electronic device running on their own as if they were reacting to my growing panic. The lights were flashing in Morse code, signaling S.O.S. while the electric razor was buzzing wildly on the floor, pointing itself to Max and John the second they entered. while the vacuum cleaner in the hall was going crazy. John tried to get to me to calm me down but the electric razor chewed a pies of his tennis shoe, startling him and he took a step back.
"Megan, I think everything is reacting to your fear." said Max, calmly. "Try to relax yourself so we can have a look at you and see what is causing all of this."
I barely heard Max as the pounding in my head was relentless and the sound of everything going off at once was causing me to panic. "Help me!" I muttered, not knowing everyone in the area was hearing me. "Someone help me!"
John, seeing no other way, kicked the electric razor, sending it out the window. It triggered the home security system to sound alarms all over the house but it allowed John to get to me. He quickly knelled down and pulled me into a warm hug, gently rocking me. "I'm here, Megan." cooing, he said. "I'm right here, calm down. I won't let anything hurt you."
Finally snapping out of my fear induced trance, I realized John was there and returned his embrace, sobbing. "John, I'm so scared!" I wailed. "What's happening to me!?"
"That's what we're going to find out." said Max, slowly approaching me. "Right now, however, I need to sedate you so you will stay calm, is that fine with you?"
I turned to John, uncertain. He nodded and I agreed. Max prepared a syringe from his bag then injected me with a sedative once it was ready. Less than a minute later, I was unconscious and all of the electronic equipment fell silent.
"This is creepy, doc." shaken, John said. "What do you make of it?"
"You know I can't discuss that with you without her mother's written permission, young man." serious, Max replied. "Once I examine her, I will give my report to her mother and she will decide weather or not to tell you."
With that, Max pulled out his cellphone and dialed a number. "This is Dr Max Hagen, i need an ambulance at this address immediately...."
Hours later, I woke up...
