After thinking for a long moment you decide against it. While the thought did have you intrigued you ultimately decided you would rather remain a boy. You tell Carol this and she sighs.
I understand. Doing a permeant gender swap isn’t something most people just jump into. Though turning into a young girl would be best so you could get used to your new body. She mutters before sighing.
As I said that is the only option we have available right now. She says shrugging. I’m sorry but if you want to become a three year old then you will have to become a girl.
Isn’t there something you can do? You ask. Not wanting to backtrack on your decision. Carol starts to shake her head, then pauses. Unless. She mutters something and after a moment she starts typing and muttering to herself. You shift uncomfortably in your chair as the seconds turn into minutes.
After what seems to be hours, but is probably only a few minutes the computer makes a sound causing you to start.
Ok. Carol says happily. Like I said there are no three year old boy options, and generally not a lot of choices for boys at that age. However I have managed to find an opening! She explains leaning back with a self-satisfied smile.
Wha? Really? That’s great! You say smiling and excited. But, it’s not what you asked for. Carol continues her smile fading. “And there’s the catch.” You think.
You see, the open slot is for a baby boy. And I mean that literally. You would be a boy, but you would physically be from twelve to eighteen months old. And to answer any questions the changes are only physical.
You will still have your mind and might even be able to speak some but physically you will be a baby, with all that entitles. Carol finished your mind already filling with images of diapers and bottle feedings. If you don’t choose this, and you want to remain a boy then your only other option is to wait till we have an opening or pick another age.
You nod feeling overwhelmed. This, was not what you expected. At all. A baby. The thought of being so young made you nervous but this was your only option now. You were not sure you wanted to be that young! Still though the option was enticing. This is kind of what you wanted, to experience the world from a young age. It wasn’t exactly what you wanted, but close enough right?
Besides, you had already come this far so you nod. Carol claps happily. Ok! Now I know we are both ready to get started but there are a few more questions to answer.
You resist the urge to groan. After all that you still weren’t done! Carol notices.
I know but there are only two families with this option open so all you have to do is pick them. She says showing you the screen. Normally there would me a large selection process where you would pick the family, siblings, how they would treat you ect. But with this one you only have two choices. She explains
You glance at the options. One was a married couple with no kids wondering what it would be like to care for a baby before having one of their own.
The second was from a family that already had kids, but were planning to have another and wondered how their children would react to having a baby in the house.
both were for standard three month trial periods and both seemed about the same financially. A lot of the families personal information was left out but you could get a pretty good picture of them both. So the choice basically came down to if you wanted older siblings to to be an only child.
