Chapter #4
Ludwig and Iggy's Big Idea
by: Unknown
Wendy sat upon a plush pink chair, propping her face with one hand as she sighed. "I'm so BORED. Life is just dull as ditchwater around here!. It was exciting for a bit when Daddy let us in on his latest plot, but after Mario and... Uh... That green guy beat him, he's just been holed up in his room, planning. I didn't even get a chance to show him my newest list of presents he needs to give me! It's not fair! Don't you agree?"
The hapless Koopa Troopa she was using as a footrest tried to stammer out a reply. "W-w-well, His Awfulness does need time to draw up a new plan of attack... He wants to make sure Junior can play a part in it, so that... Uh."
The bratty Koopaling squinted. "Are you saying HE is more important than ME?" The prostate minion nearly retreated into his shell as he tried to backpedal. "N-n-n-no, of course not! It's, it's just..."
Wendy brought her foot down on the shell and kicked the Koopa across the room and out the door. "I'M much more important than him! And tons cuter, too! Why shouldn't I be involved in Daddy's plans?! That stupid little twerp Bowser Jr. gets all the attention now, and I'm sick of it! IT'S NOT FAIR!"
In the adjoining hall, Iggy and Ludwig ducked their heads as Wendy's attendant went sailing over and skidded through the hall like a runaway train. "It appears our dear sister is in a mood, Iggy. Hopefully she'll be too clouded with anger to think hard about our proposal."
Iggy nodded, grinning mischievously. "I don't think that'll be a problem. She's never really been the thinking sort! Man, this is gonna be the best prank-slash-experiment ever!"
The siblings went in. "Hello, dear sister!", began Ludwig in his most cloying voice. "How are you this fine day?"
"STUFF IT, MOPHEAD! I'm not in the mood for your dumb concertos!"
Ludwig clenched his teeth and kept plowing through. "Ah! I'm not here about my symphonies, but I think you'll find my proposal music to your ears. You're tired of Junior hogging the spotlight, yes?"
"Yeah? What about it?!", scowled Wendy.
"What if I told you I had a way to bring that spotlight to you?"
Wendy narrowed her eyes. "I'd be suspicious, quite frankly. What are you getting at?"
Iggy took center stage. "Me and Luddy have been working on something that'll make SURE you get all the attention you can stand! You'll have so much presence, there won't be room in the castle for anything else! You'll be bigger than Junior ever was!"
Wendy sat back in her chair and closed her eyes, thinking. "What is it?"
Ludwig and Iggy grinned. They had the hook in her.
