Emma had with her a bracelet that seemed to have cat fangs on it. Well, that's what I deduced anyway.
"Where did you get that?" I asked her.
"I'll tell you if you come to my room" said Emma. I sighed and decided to follow her. I had no idea what she had in mind but I would get to the bottem of it somehow. Along the way though, things got a little more interesting.
"Do you want this?" asked Emma, offering the bracelet to me. I was confused as to why she would offer me such a tinket to me. I really wasn't the accesory type of person. However, there seemed to be something that drew me torwards the bracelet, almost like gravity pulling me to it.
"I don't know" I told her. I was trying to distance myself from whatever that bracelet was using on me. However, Emma didn't really like the answer.
"Oh kind on, please?" she pleaded with me. I sighed as there would be no getting out of this for me.
"All right, I'll take it" I said to her, giving up in the process. Emma smiled and helped me put on the bracelet. It was positioned so that the fanged portions were on the top of my hand. However, right when it was fastened on, I almost felt as if the fangs drew right down into my skin.
"Ugh!" I grunted in slight pain. It was almost like the thing was a mouth and it wouldn't let up on me. Suddenly, the pain stopped and I was able to look down at it. There seemed to be some slight redness where the bracelet was. I pretty much figured that I wasn't imagining it now.
"What's wrong brother?" asked Emma.
"Nothing" I responded. I didn't need her to know about what I was thinking about. Anyway, we proceeded to Emma's room where she showed me a view from her window. There was a statue of a cat there. Whoever had this house before us apparently believed in cats as come sort of guardians, kind of like the egyptians to an extent. I found it pretty wierd. However, we also had a centaur statue as we believed it brought good luck considering we owned a horse ranch some ways from here. Guess, we're just as weird.
"I found that bracelet near that statue. I've always liked that statue though. You think it really protects us?" she asked me.
"Well, maybe it does" was the best I could come up with as I subtlely scratched my chest. 'What is wrong with me?' I thought to myself.
