"Uh oh."
That was the only sound heard before a large flash encompassed all of the Baxter Building, home of the Fantastic Four.
Reed, Susan, Johnny, Ben, Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk, Crystal, Medusa, Spiderman, Spiderwoman, Wolverine, and X-23 were all caught in the blast. Jennfier, Crystal, Medusa, Spiderman, Spiderwoman, Wolverine, and X-23 had all been at the Baxter Building due to the party Sue had held for all former members and guests.
She had just been bringing out the first tray of food for the party when the flash engulfed them, Reed soon emerging from his lab looking very nervous.
"Reed, what was that flash just now?"
"Well, I was attempting an experiment with pigs and cows, analyzing their digestive tracts and manner in which they store fat in order to come up with a cure for anorexia. Unfortunately, my experiments called for unorthodox methods and I introduced some particles from the Negative Zone into the concoction, resulting in the flash and what will soon happen to all of us."
"In English Richards," Wolverine said, taking a swig of beer.
"All of us are going to steadily gain weight, whether we want to or not, and experience a vastly increased appetite and capacity for food. Some of us may also gain pig and/or bovine features such as snouts, tails, four stomachs, even udders."
"Is there a cure for any of this?" Medusa asked, as calm as could be expected.
"At the moment...no."
The assembled guests, Ben, Johnny, and Susan all went silent.
What had been a party everyone was looking forward to had become something else entirely.
It was only a matter of time before they started to change....
