Eric didn't wait to hear what she said after that, he just began scrambling to run, motioning for the other head to follow. The two of them scrambed around the dragon, ducking under her large frame, ignoring the surprised hiss that issued from her mouth. The sky was blocked out by black scales, but Eric and his body-mate ignored the towering underbelly above them and scrambled towards the greenery beyond, running right beside the massive tail. They ran as fast as they could, Esmerda still searching around her legs angrily.
Eric turned his head completely around, relying on the other head to keep guiding them. He saw Esmerda look up and sweep her gaze accross the open plain. Her wild eyes settled on their retreating form. Oh crap, Eric thought. "Get back here, you little brats," Esmerda roared, chasing after them. As Eric watched her advance, he heard the heavy bounding leaps, and he knew that within momments she would be upon them, able to pin them down, or worse.
"In heey're," the other dragon head said, redirecting Eric's attention to a hole underneath a large tree, no more than five feet in diameter, but plenty big enough for him to fit through. The pounding feet got louder and louder as she closed the distance, her claws raking up dirt with each step. Eric didn't take a moment to reconsider, so he jumped down the whole as fast as he could, falling a good fifteen feet, to land at the bottom. Their momentum was softened by some soft, moss-covered dirt, and when they looked to their left, they saw a tunnel that led deeper underground.
Esmerda wasn't about to give up, though. She reached the hole just behind them, and she immediately began to--
