As soon as Brock let his new Nidoqueen out of its Pokéball, May started to feel weird, as if her consciousness was drifting away. When that feeling ceased, May couldn't see the inside of the Pokéball she was transformed into anymore. Instead, she could see the outside world like normal, with Brock standing right in front of her. Confused, she took a quick look around, only to notice her body felt much heavier. She soon realized that because she had caught the Nidoqueen, she could control its body directly from the Pokéball. She screamed in surprise, letting out a loud "Queeeeeeeeeeeeeeen !" which startled Brock.
"Whoa, hey, calm down ? What's wrong, Nidoqueen ?"
May looked back up and saw Brock. She calmed down and said :
"Brock, it's me, May ! I drank some weird tea from an old lady and transformed into the Pokéball you just found, so I can control the body of the Nidoqueen you just captured ! You have to help me !
-...What's wrong with you, are you trying to tell me something ?"
May gasped in surprise. She forgot that being in the body of a Pokémon, she couldn't directly speak to other people. She tried to think of another way to let her friend know of her predicament, and soon found one : She crouched down and wrote something on the ground using her huge arms. Brock read the message as May was writing it :
"Hmm ? What are you writing down ? I... Am... May... Wait, "I am May" ? You mean, you are May ?!"
The young girl-turned-Nidoqueen nodded, relieved she finally managed to explain the situation. She continued to write down what had happened to her, until Brock knew of the whole situation.
"My gosh, this is so weird... So that old lady transformed you, huh ? I guess there's only one thing we can do then. We go back to that building and ask her to change you back ! Lead the way !"
May sighed in relief, happy to see that things were looking rather good. She was still a Pokéball controlling a Nidoqueen, but at least she could communicate and managed to let Brock know of her problem. The two youngsters eventually reached the strange building the old lady was living in, and entered it (May's body obviously couldn't fit through the door, so Brock had to call back Nidoqueen and let her out again after entering). They saw the old lady sitiing on the ground, still sipping tea.
"So you're the one who transformed my friend into a Pokéball, right ?
-Hmmm ? Oh, a new visitor ! Welcome, ehehehehehe ! Anyway, I have no idea what you are talking about, I never met any friend of yours.
-Don't play dumb with me ! The girl you gave tea to earlier, after she asked you where the Poké-Mart was ! You transformed her into a Pokéball !
-Oh, this young girl ! Ehehehehehehehe ! I see, so my tea transformed her into a Pokéball... What is your point, young man ?
-It's obvious : Change her back right now, or we'll call the police !
-Now, now, there's no need to get so angry. How about a game ? Your Pokémon against my Gengar. If you win, I'll change your friend back and turn myself in. But if you lose, I'll transform you into something too ! How about that ?"
Brock and May thought about it for a while. There was no way for them to know whether the old lady was going to keep her word or not, but they had to run fast if they were to try and run away. They decided to...
