Appearing downstairs behind everyone else, Steven saw Liz stood behind the Help Desk, holding a piece of paper. "About time! Where've you been?" she joked.
"Sorry, I was writing my m...memoirs!" Steven joked in return, stuttering slightly. Had he been in a new work environment his slight stutter would have been embarrassing, but all his friends in the store had grown used to him and always gave him time to speak.
Liz and a few others, including Andrea and Helen just smiled at his remark.
As Steven then stood amongst his friends, taller than all of them, Liz started talking to them, basically just letting them know how the store was performing in terms of sales and expenses etc. This weekly meeting had been termed, by the previous manager, as 'A huddle', to keep the staff apprised of what was going on. Most of them found the meetings tedious, but they were thankful that the meetings only lasted no more than five minutes.
Suddenly, everyone's attention went to the front entrance, which was locked, and to the person who was knocking on it and waving. Steven immediately recognized the person as Andrea's daughter, Carly, a beautician who Steven often visited to have his eyebrows waxed.
Liz immediately nodded to Andrea, in effect giving her permission to let Carly in. And as Andrea made her way to the door, Liz kept on talking to the rest of them.
"Hiya Steven!" Carly beamed, as she walked into the shop, the 3" stiletto heels of her black ankle boots clicking on the floor. Even with her boots on, she still only stood at 5' 5" tall. Complimenting the boots, were a pair of hip hugger jeans, a white top with gold sequined writing across it, which was filled out nicely by her perfectly shaped breasts, and a short black jacket. Steven could tell that she obviously hadn't been at work today.
With a firm erection in his pants, Steven smiled at Carly and greeted her back. "Hiya love! How are you?" he answered, folding his arms.
"Good, thanks, you?" Carly then said in her usual peppy tone.
"I'm great, thank you!" Steven replied.
Andrea then turned to Liz. "I'm just gonna sort a few things out with our Carly, is that okay?" she asked.
"Yeah that's fine, its only a small delivery tonight anyway, we should get it all done" Liz responded, idly gesturing with one of her hands.
Carly then patted Steven on the shoulder as she passed him with her mother. "See you later!" she said to him, as the sound of her heels impacting the floor once again filled the air, further arousing an already excited Steven.
"Okay love" Steven mumbled, as he admired Carly's shapely figure until she had disappeared upstairs.
The evening then began proceeding as normal, as everyone started work. The usual monotomous routine soon drove Steven to start livening things up a little, at least for himself.
