"That's pretty much it for now, I would like to know if I can count of you to add some more hours just in case we need it too, do you agree?"
"Uhh, sure, sure" Steven said absentmindedly, more focused on finding something to change that he would like to change, but he found himself struggling to pick up anything he actually wanted to. Her height? the high heels did the trick perfectly to raise her to a respectable height and he feared changing anything about that would lead her to no longer use them. Her breasts? Sure, they were a modest size, but Elizabeth seemed to made a right case for them being a perfect size with the way she dressed so stylishly, a way that always managed to grab his attention and made his dull work life a bit brighter. Her face? he actually liked the short blonde hair and changing other things seemed.. wrong for some reason, even if he would be the only one noticing it. Was it because he actually appreciated her? Because she wasn't single? Because he was fearing the consequences of his changes? He couldn't tell.
"Is anything wrong? You seem distracted" Elizabeth asked the obvious question
"Not really, just thinking about some stuff. But sure, as long as I get the extra pay feel free to give me the hours you need" Steven said and Elizabeth smiled in appreciation
"Will do poppet, and I will make sure you won't burn out in the process. Thanks for that" Elizabeth said and made a bit more small talk before sending Steven back to his post. Steven as usual left the office feeling energized about what he considered a nice conversation with a friend, but he also was quite intrigued about not being able to decide what to change in his manager.. maybe he liked her that much?
Steven mulled over the idea while he started doing his routine morning work. He was a 32 year old virgin that didn't get much interaction with other women aside from coworkers, and it was in Elizabeth that he found the most interesting character and friendlier conversations of the lot, even if nothing could happen between them because she was no longer single. He wondered about that old proverb of beauty being in the eye of the beholder, and as he looked at some of his coworkers he wondered if instead of trying to change Elizabeth he should try with someone else and see if making them look like her would also change his perception of them. All Steven knew was that it was going to be quite the interesting day anyway.
