"I'm no longer an addict." Kelly breathed a sigh or relief, as she felt the compulsions she'd lived with for so long fade to irrelevance. A wave of shame washed over her, as she thought of her behaviour, and an anger flared within, as she thought of the scum bag James Taylor who sent her on this downward spiral.
With a wave of her hand, she banished the drugs paraphernalia. The empty whisky bottles clattering to the carpet, as Kelly got used to her new powers. A second sweep of her hand removed all the discarded bottles allowing her to see her home coherently for the first time in a long time.
The alcohol and drugs were flushed from her body, and she took in the pitiful way she'd been living. A snap of her fingers, and the incidental damage was erased. The cigarette burns in the carpeting and upholstery were gone. The broken leg on the chair now just a memory for Kelly.
Taking a deep breath and holding it, she felt a familiar giddiness. This new power was quite intoxicating, and she needed to take a break from it.

Heading to the kitchen area of her simple flat, she prepared a simple meal. Using only her skills in the kitchen and no magic, just to assure herself she was capable of resisting that temptation. The mug of coffee hit her like a freight train, the caffeine the strongest stimulant she'd risk now, hit all the harder on her empty stomach.
