As Channel 6 News had been changing it's news format and letting employees go, April was one of the unfortunate ones let go of her position that she had for many years. She had joined the Turtles in their hideout as they had another pizza night.
"Aw, cheer up April!" Leonardo said, "You don't have to get dragged into our troubles too much now!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know," she replied as she slightly nibbled on a pizza, "But I'm gonna be stuck at home for a while, nobody's hiring news reporters right now..."
"Why the rush?" added Donatello, "You can relax at home in the meantime! Throw parties whenever you want......."
As April chewed on her pizza as Donatello rambled on, suddenly a thought came to her. Her eyes glazed wide open as a big smile came to her face. She got up and grabbed five pizza boxes.
"...go to the zoo, buy a dog...." Donatello continued as April took a box he was holding.
"Hope you don't mind me taking these back home!" she said as she ran out, "I'll pay you guys back!"
Three of the Turtles looked on in confusion to April's odd behavior, as Donatello still chattered on without seeing her leave.

April ran into her apartment excited, closing the door behind her and licking her lips. Finally, eating freedom.
She sat down, opened one box and took out a huge slice, shoving it into her mouth.
"Now I don't have to worry about what I eat..." she thought, "Finally, all that I can eat!"
Being the news reporter for so many years she had to watch her eating habits and how she ate. Now, she was free to do whatever she wanted. She already finished three slices at this point and was starting on a fourth. Cheese began to drip on her yellow suit, as she devoured more of the slices like a shark. Within a blink of an eye, she finished an entire pizza. Mouth full of cheese, and messy clothing, let her a little blushed.
"Well, I am a little messy," she thought, "But still more pizza!"
She opened a seocnd box and went straight in...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
