Danzo looked at the liquid and spoted a spider out of the corner of his eye. Nodding to himself, the war-hawk pulled out a kuni and threw it, impiling and killing the arachnid before removing the kunai and plucking one of the dead spider's legs off and dropped in into the formula, which started fizzing and hissing.
Danzo nodded again, that would do. But who to test this on to see if it was really going to work? His own men were too valuble, so he had to make it someone who, in Danzo's mind, was expendable.

Naruto awoke with a mental scream, in too much agony to give his pain a vocal title by screaming.
Panting heavily, Naruto slapped a hand to his neck and found a senbone there once he pulled it out. Was it poisoned?
He stood up shakely and slowly made his way to the hokage tower, his body trembling and his bones felt like hollowed glass. What was wrong with him? Whatever it was, he knew already that the fox was trying to do what it could to fix it.
Feeling woozy, Naruto fained. After what felt like hours, he regained consciousness as the pain finally faded, but something still felt...off...to him about how his body felt.
