"I woke up here." you tell Yuesi's friends, which are just Crow and his caretaker, Martha, who was currently preparing something for you to eat, more than likely soup. Jack has probably left already for the city, with Yuesi's bike and all.
"Just dumped here, huh?" Crow's reply is fast. "Well, you need a few things if you're to survive here. A set of tough clothes, a bit of fighting skill, along with knowing how to Duel as well."
"What are you implying?" You reply incredulously.
Crow's response is curt. "That you look like an idiot."
"Crow, please, cut Raven some slack." Yusei chimed in from across the table you three were currently seated. "They have no clue how they got here, but that doesn't immediately make them a bad Duelist." His faith in you warms you. "They're missing a chunk of their memories, not all of it."
"I'm just saying, pajamas don't mix well with a cheap hoodie, socks and boots." Crow is right about that. You guess that you were woken up by something and went looking for what it was before you got...transported? Teleported? Yoinked? Okay, maybe not the last one.
"And you think we look any better?" Yusei responds with a small smile.
"Least I'm properly dressed." Crow muttered before facing you. "Okay, so how much Dueling experience do you have?"
You think a bit before responding. "I know the basics, but I only have a limited grasp on strategy. The Duel Disk says otherwise, but I just picked it up off the ground."
"You have a deck to go with that disk?" Yusei asked.
"Yep." The Duel Disk had formed with a deck included. It was full of Level 4 monsters and useful generic spells, along with some famous spell cards from Yugioh's early years. "It won't brick, at least."
"Lack of confidence will get you nowhere." Yusei replied. It stung you a bit, for some reason. But then again... "But as long as you have a deck, you can get by. No card is worthless. That's what I believe."
"Anyway, there's something serious that needs addressing...." declared Crow, before eh turned to face you with a look of bewilderment plain on his face. "Are you a boy or a girl, because that long hair is confusing the hell outta me."
You facepalm.
