Jasmine's heart was racing, seeing the love of her life unconscious and beaten by this cruel human! She felt the raging hatred surging in her, but remembered her father's teachings. She struggled, fighting down the emotion, but as the bully strode over the prone form of Jake she had to fight the urge to just surge into dragon form and roar at the annoying human... It was hard but she resisted and instead strode powerfully up behind the boy and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Whu?" Came the surprised voice of the bully.
"Cease this at once or I will be forced to hurt you." She said, her eyes glaring into his.
A moment of fluster came to his eyes, and she knew she could be very intimidating, but his self-importance reasserted itself and he chuckled.
"What? Jakey has girls fight for him now? Oooh I'm so scared!" He said, then gave her a dismissing wave of the hand before turning around towards Jake on the ground once more, flexing his knuckles in anticipation. "Now get out of here girl. I got fun stuff to deal with."
Jasmine literally saw red. A hand clamped on the boy's shoulder and spun him around. He gasped at the rather strong motion, almost falling over from the sudden twist, then blinked as he saw a fist swinging for him.
Amazingly he dodged. True, Jasmine was not a war dragon and did not have a lot of experience of fighting, let alone fighting in human form, but her reflexes were fast. It was impressive this boy avoided it.
"God damn it!" He yelled, then swung back hard.
*CLANG!*
"OW OW OW OW!" He yelled, hopping from one foot to the other clutching his hand where he'd struck her stomach scales. She smiled viciously and while he was distracted slammed a fist into his gut, leaving him winded and curling up onto the floor clutching his belly.
With the threat dealt with she turned to her love and crouched down beside him.
