The next day, things were really weird the minute you got up. As you showered and got dressed, you went into the kitchen where you saw your mom making coffee.
“Oh gosh I need to hurry up or else I'll be late...” your mother said to you, as you walked in.
“Hey mom...”
“Oh no he's wearing that ugly old black t-shirt again...” you hear your mother's voice saying.
“What did you say?” you say to her.
“I didn't say anything... Other than I'm running late...” mom responded.
“Oh...”
“Honey.... Do you have to wear that old shirt?” mom finally said to you.
“I like this shirt, mom!” you respond.
“The shirt has completely colored in the wash...” you hear your mother's voice say in your mind.
“You really don't want me to go to school with this shirt, do you?” you say.
“It just looks...” she begins.
“I know... It has colored in the wash!” you announce.
Your mom stared at you with a surprised look on her face.
“How did he know that?” you hear your mom thinking in your mind.
“Okay, I'll go change...” you groan.
You go change shirts and you put on another shirt before you walk back into the kitchen. The smile on mom's face says everything.
“Bye, mom!”
You catch the bus to school, where you realize that there are a lot more voices you end up hearing than just mom's...
