Some 65 million years ago, before the extinction of the dinosaurs, a highly advanced survey vessel of alien origin begins it’s orbit of a newly discovered world, of a prehistoric planet called Earth. This spaceship is dark blue in color, about sixty yards wide, and two stories high. This ship has a crew of three scientists, and several robots. The three alien scientists belong to a species called the Hy’dra. They are amphibian in origin, but they spend most of their time on land. They look something like the monster from the Creature from the Black Lagoon. They have the ability to reed minds, to a point, and they can become invisible at will. Just to let you know, as a species, they are intelligent, yet very arrogant.

As the ship’s crew scans the planet, it finds that this world’s atmosphere is low in oxygen, and there seems to be a single gigantic continent below them. They also discover that this world is infested with huge, reptilian like creatures (dinosaurs). An hour later, as the aliens finish their primary scans of this world; their ship enter the planets atmosphere, and begins to look for a place to land, in order to collect some specimens for study. As the ship begins to land, a fluke meteorite pores threw the atmosphere, and smashes into the side of this ships hull. The ships hull was undamaged, however, the ships main engines malfunctioned, causing it to crash land into an ancient lake. The ship is now underwater, plowing into the bottom of the lake. As the ship buries it’s self under piles of dirt, the ships main computer activates its emergency protocols. The ship deactivates the robots and puts the three alien scientists into suspended animation. The hull is still intact, as the main computer puts its self to sleep.

Present day, near the city of Houston Texas.

A small earthquake, almost unnoticeable to the humans on land, accidentally unearths a very old alien spacecraft, about seventy feet below the surface of a large blue lake. Now unburied, this ships main computer activates, and begins the slow process of reactivating all the ships systems, including the robots. However, it seems that the ships main computer cannot activate the ships long-range engines, making the long voyage back to their home world impossible, at least for now. The ship’s main computer then begins to awaken the three scientists on board. Several minutes later, after the three scientists have awakened, they begin to check the ship for any damage. To their surprise, the ship is still fully functional, except for the ship’s main engines. They could repair them, but it would take time, maybe several weeks. They also discover to their despair, that they were stuck in suspended animation for several million years.

An hour later, they began to scan the area, and discovered to their amazement that the atmosphere has much more oxygen then before. In addition, all the massive reptiles have disappeared, replaced by smaller mammals. As they scanned the area around them even further, they discovered a few intelligently designed dwellings on the land, near the lake. Out of intense curiosity, one of them goes outside to check things out. This nearly aquatic, alien creature swims threw the water with the ease of a fish and surfaces to look around. It is around eight thirty at night, and there is a full moon in the clear sky. The creature goes…
