Chapter #4
Mars needs humans!
by: Unknown
It is the 2014, and a weird looking telescope from the planet Mars are scanning the Earth, their primitive neighbor for something of extreme value. The advanced telescope, owned an extremely wealthy yet frightening Martian scientist named Clang who is scanning the Earth for something that will both entertain him, and possibly make him even more wealthy on the underground galactic slave market, humans. Humans, especially human females and young males are considered highly prized specimens in the galaxy. These creatures are so highly prized that they almost went extinct 12,000 years ago. However, due to strict conservation efforts, the human population of Earth has managed to recover, and they now number in the billions. Harvesting humans is outlawed, and anyone caught possessing a human is sentenced to life imprisonment. The only exceptions are various educational facilities, and zoos. Robotic patrol ships enforce the Earth protected zone all the time from pirates, and other nonaligned aliens. Thousands of years ago Mars and Eden led the charge to protect the Earth from human harvesting, something Clang regret’s and he is now advocating the reintroduction of limited harvesting. However, his efforts in the galactic council and on Mars are being thwarted by A.E.T.H. Aliens for the Ethical Treatment of Humans, and other pro-human advocates.
Nevertheless, Clang never let something like the rule of law get in the way of his happiness. Clang’s has invented a new telescope that not only monitors the Earth from a distance, but this advanced telescope can quickly transport humans from Earth to his large underground home on Mars. Think Star Trek transporter or Asgard transporter from Stargate SG-1. In addition, to protect himself legally in case he is caught with some humans, he has obtained or bought an educational/zoological license from the Martian government. As he scans the Earth with his telescope, he concentrates on a certain part of the Earth, New Bern Texas. He sees what first in his telescope?
