This choice: After dinner, Bob talks to Phillip • Go Back...Chapter #5After dinner, Bob talks to Phillip by: ruben   After dinner Karen went to the lounge room to rest and watch TV. Phillip, after cleaning the table, was about to go back to his bedroom when Bob called him back to the table.
"So, what's happening Phil? Why are you being so restless and, well disobedient?" asked Bob.
Phillip rolled his eyes and sighed "Cos you guys are being too strict".
Bob sat back, and asked "How so?"
Phillip shrugged his shoulders, "Dunno, just are"
"That's not really much of an answer. I think you got caught out by that question. I understand the need to rebel, being your age, but you are giving your mother quite a lot of grief. She doesn't need it anytime, and especially when she is pregnant"
"Yeah, well, whatever"
Bob could see he wasn't getting through to the boy, but didn't want to start a yelling match with him, as that will make him concede his position. So he changed tact, see what the boy wants.
"So, what is it that you want to do Phillip?"
"I WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE!" he yelled, then ran out of the room.
Bob laid back in his chair and sighed. This was going to be a tough battle. But it was far from over.
Meanwhile in the other room Karen was watching TV. There was a show on about parents with unruly teen children, and how with the pregnancy transfer method, managed to calm down the teens by making them handle someone's pregnancy for a week or so, teaching them responsibility and patience with dealing with others.
The interviewer was talking to a mother, who was a little bit older than Karen.
"Oh yes, Tania was a huge handful, sneaking out at night, trying to break into the drinks cabinet, getting into trouble at school with teachers and students alike" said the mother.
"That's when you turned to the pregnancy transfer method for a way of teaching Tania some life skills?" asked the interviewer.
"Oh yes! Since Tania has been pregnant, she has calmed right down, her grades have gone up, and my friend who was having the pregnancy has been able to continue to work during the week while Tania looks after her pregnancy," answered the mother.
"And you Tania, do you approve of what's happened to you, or are there some issues you have with it?" asked the interviewer, as the camera shifted over to the heavily pregnant teen. She looked like a younger version of her mother, her pregnant belly stretching out a t-shirt that obviously used to fit her before she was pregnant.
"I didn't like it at the start, none of my clothes could fit, I was tired and hungry, and well, had this huuuuuuge belly infront of me. However since then I have learnt that you can't go through life just being bitchy and negative to everyone. And I can't wait to get pregnant myself at a later age." she answered.
The camera panned over other pregnant teens, both boys and girls, in various stages of pregnancy, with the voice over mentioning that the process is perfectly safe and there no legal issues with it.
Karen heard the shouting from the other room and then had a thought, maybe Phillip needs to be punished like this. She smiled evilly, liking the idea of getting the boy hugely pregnant and unable to raise hell.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
