"Hey Lana what's up" Stacy answered her phone seeing it was her boss at the adoption agency. "Well I have some bad news Stacy dear, storage is all full up Tamara didn't birth her load as expected so we don't have the room to put Jasmin back into rotation." The fact that storage was full is not a crazy concept just unusual. They have six ladies that are all deposited with same month aged fetuses so they can birth a large batch at once. Most of the storage gals have been working for NewHost for a few years and as such their capacity it quit large. The law states that you can only give a fetus that is six months along up for adoption so the ladies all take on fetuses for a month and then may add on in later months as needed, if possible. The company also keeps seven ladies on staff for the storage department so that after birth the women get a month off to rest and get ready to start over. Tamara was an upcoming star in the department as she had a very large capacity for someone that had only been with the agency for a year.
"Well that's odd Lana, isn't she usually really good at delivering on time?" Stacy wasn't really mad just a little concerned. See she had taken on a rather large load today to help her with a babysitting gig she had taken on for the next week. "How long do you think Tamara has till she pops" Stacy asked with a hint of concern. "Well the doctor is saying that it could be tomorrow or it could be a few weeks. She's three over her previous max so only time will tell."
Stacy looked down at her belly with mixed emotions, she loved her job and enjoyed being big but she had other plans and not offloading would make that harder. "Lana I'm currently at five little ones and big enough to have six or even seven in me. How will the rest of the week work? Are the transport staff still expected to carry out the next two days of pick-ups without dumping?"
"Well I hope Tamara gives birth tonight so we can get Jasmin back into rotation and let her rest for the month. But if she doesn't then we still have contracts to collect and it is in your hiring agreement that these things could happen." Stacy was aware that double bookings were possible and delayed drop offs have happened, but she had two more days of work and she had taken on larger jobs to prepare for next week. "Lana I know it's in the contract but I accepted a larger job tomorrow and a thirteen load for Friday. You know I'm taking care of a babysitting gig next week. The maternity yoga class hired me to watch all of their babies for a week so they could go to a reunion." Stacy was getting scared she hadn't actually asked how many were in the yoga class but the money was just to good to pass up. If she couldn't offload by Monday she didn't know how she could take the job."I'm sorry girl I'll keep you posted and hopefully you won't have to host so many little ones at once."
Stacy hung up her phone knowing that nothing could change the fact that she couldn't offload. She could have pushed Lana to let her offload the ten month twins but she knew that it wasn't easy to offload only a set and then try to keep the rest. Typically when you carry a big batch you offload the smallest first and then as soon as possible you offload the next oldest and so on. It is technically possible to transfer one or two and keep the rest but you couldn't risk trying to take in more later. The last time they tried that one of the transport team almost burst. A storage accidentally transfered one of hers into the transporter and then took it and six others back. The stupid girl didn't tell anyone and later in the day tried to take three from a new transport employee. Instead of taking the three she evacuated her storage womb into the poor newbie. She was blown up like a balloon till her skin was red and throbbing. Of course they quickly got the storage that was waiting to come into rotation to come save the poor thing but the damage was done.
Stacy was waddling mindlessly towards her apartment after her daydream on the bus ride. She turned the key got into her home and decided to pass out on her bed. She woke to her alarm early in the morning, with difficulty she got up and showered. After getting dressed she called to office to check in.
