The goldfish in Josh's fishtank act weird w...

Josh just loved Sunday evenings. He could pretty much do whatever he wanted. He went to church in the morning, where he served as the altar boy during the mass. Then, he had lunch after the mass, and afterwards he would hang out with friends or else he would just watch TV or play video games at home. His mom would often work at the clothing store in the shopping mall, so he would frequently be home alone. His best friend, Ethan, wasn't always home either, so it all depended on what was going on and who was available to hang out with him if he was alone or not after mass.

It was getting rather cloudy outside and Josh still had some homework left to do math class, so he wandered over to his desk and sat down at his chair. He turned on his laptop and pulled up the website for his elementary school, where he saw that he needed to finish up some work on some math problems. He finally got his book out of his backpack and started writing in his notebook, when something caught his eye.

His little goldfish, Sharky, was constantly swimming over to one side of the small fishbowl, facing Josh. The bowl was placed near the edge of the desk, and Josh usually saw Sharky swimming around in the small bowl. This time, however, the little fish appeared to be hovering around the same area, facing the boy.

"What's the matter? Didn't I feed you this morning?" Joshua wondered out loud.

Josh took the small plastic jar with fish food, containing dry flakes with food, and sprinkled some of it into the water. Little Sharky swam to the surface and ate some of it, before descending down to about halfway into the bowl, so it could stare at the human being who sitting in front of him. Obviously to the fish, it was looking out over the LORD who sat before him, and it was eager to worship its God.

Josh did another row of math problems, until he was finished. Then he put down his pen and closed his notebook, when he realized that his fish was still looking straight at him.

"What's the matter? You look so sad in the little bowl..." Josh sighed. "I bet you'd be a lot happier if your bowl were twice as big!"

Suddenly, the glass bowl GREW until it was exactly TWICE as big as before! Just as Josh had suggested! Not only that, but the bowl magically filled up to the rim with water, providing twice as much room for little Sharky as before!

Sharky swam around the larger bowl twice, circling around the glass, before coming back to the side facing Josh!

"Whoa!" Josh gasped, as he got up from his chair! "Waiiiiiittt a minute.... How... What... This is weird! REALLY, really weird!"

Josh stood there for a moment and stared at the larger fish bowl, which sat on his desk. He stepped back, not knowing what to think of the strange, magical transformation which had just taken place. Did HE just do that? What had just taken place? What happened? How did he do that?

As Josh took another step back, he bumped into his chair, and fell backwards! His chair suddenly grew longer and wider, morphing into a large, comfortable recliner chair, which broke his fall! For a moment, Josh lay there, which his back in the super-comfortable recliner chair, which had replaced his small office chair.

The strange chair freaked him out again!

"Whhaaaaaahh!" Where did that chair come from??" Josh exclaimed, as he leaped from the chair and got back on his feet.

Then he took another step back, and bumped into the edge of his bed. Once again, the boy lost his balance, and fell with his back on his small bed. But, his bed was no longer just an ordinary bed. His bed suddenly morphed into a King-sized giant waterbed, which suddenly began to make sloshing noises due to the water splashing against the inner lining of the bed. Josh's body rocked up-and-down like a boat on the water.

"Whooaaa! This is comfortable!!" he grinned, as he lay on his huge waterbed, which was covered with silk sheets and covers, along with ten big, fluffy pillows everywhere! "This bed is made for a King!"

Josh bounced around his huge, super-comfortable bed for a few minutes, until he got tired of it. Then, he decided to crawl to the edge, so he could get off. He walked back to his desk, where he looked at his large fishbowl once again.

"Mom is gonna FREAK when she sees this huge fishbowl! It needs to shrink back to how it was before!" he whispered.

The large fishbowl did exactly that: It shrunk back to the original size! Unfortunately, the large bowl was filled with fresh water, so when it shrunk, the excess water began to spill out over the upper edge of the bowl, spilling all over the edge of the desk and on to the hardwood floor of Josh's bedroom!

"Oh NO!" Josh gasped, when he saw the water spill all over the floor. "No, no, no, Nooo! Mom is gonna KILL me!"

He saw a large puddle of water on the floor, and water all over his desk as well. He let out a deep sigh, just thinking about all the work he had to do cleaning it up by hand.

"Look at this mess!" he groaned. "All this water on my desk and on the floor... All this needs to be cleaned up!"

Then, in an instant, the water was GONE! The water on the floor had disappeared! And the surface of his desk was bone dry! Everything was cleaned up, like the accident had never happened!

"WHOA!" Josh gasped, as he saw how his entire room had changed within just a few minutes. His chair had changed, his bed had become a waterbed, and he had made the fishbowl grow into twice its size and back! "OH MY GOD!!!"

BOOOOMMM!!!!

The flash of lightning and loud rumble of thunder had startled the boy. Then, as he walked to the window, he realized that a storm was raging outside.

"Just as I was thinking about going outside, and it had to rain!" Josh grumbled.

So, what does Josh do next?

You have the following choices:

1. Josh tells the rain to stop

*Noteb*
2. Josh goes to a friend's house

3. Josh decides to do something else

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
