Chapter #4Encounter at a hospital. by: J117   Our protagonist, Brian, is laying in a hospital bed. He is covered in bruises and marks, and a broken leg. What had happened to him happens a lot in this city. He was attacked by 1 of the countless gangs that have overrun the place. Brian lays there, hating himself for not being able to do anything.
???: Its you? How can it be you?
Surprised, he looks around the room, and no 1s there, "what the!? Wh-whos there?".
???: Over here.
He looks to his left and almost falls off the bed as he sees a strange looking girl next to him.
She has long white hair, red eyes, is tall, and has large breasts.
Brian: What the hell! How did you!?
???: Don't worry about it, I have something important to tell you.
Brian:....Tell....me.....?
She pulls out a small glowing blue orb.
???: See this? Its reacting to you. That means that you can use it.
Brian: .....What are you talking about? Use it? What is that?......Who are you!?
???: Ah, thats right, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Silstes. Thats all I can say about myself right now. So back to my question. Since this thing is responding to you, that means that you have a certain trait.
Brian: A trait?
Silstes: Yes. So tell me if this sounds correct. You wish to fight those that hurt you and make them pay; however, the group that attacked you alone isn't enough. You want to make ALL of the bad people of this city pay. And you'll do anything to be able to. Does that sound right?
Brian:.....Y-yes.....It does.....
Silstes: Now here is where it gets tricky.....I wasn't expecting some1 like you to be able to use it.....But it will give you the power to fight them.
Brian: Some1 like me?
Silstes: Yeah....you see.....the person who was suppose to get this.....
Brian interrupts her, "but it will give me power".
Silstes:.....Yes.....but I think I should tell you.....
Brian: I don't care. If that thing will really let me get my revenge on them, then I'll do it, no matter what the condition is!
Silstes:.....Alright.....I see you've made up your mind. Its yours......Good Luck.
The strange girl places the blue gem on the bed. He looks at it, then up at her, but she had vanished.
He picks up the gem, and feels something pulsing deep inside him. It fades. Confused, he puts the gem next to him and lays back. "Did all that really just happen?".
The doctors are surprised, they were sure he had a broken leg, yet there was nothing wrong with it. Dismissing it as a mistake, they release him later that day. After getting home, he goes to bed for the night......   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
