You freeze in fear as you hear the voice of Sarina's mother. You and Sarina turn to see Queen Madeline with an angry look on her face. Her red hair seemed like it was on fire!
"Both of you, throne room, NOW!" she yells.
You and Sarina say nothing and obediently follow her to the throne room. You thank God that King Thomas was out for the day, otherwise you probably would've been killed right then and there. When you reach the throne room, you wait for Madeline to say something. You feel strange, as if part of you didn't care what punishment you got, because what you did was for the right reason.
Madeline looks at you. "I'm only letting you explain yourself for two reasons." she says. "One, I know that you haven't done anything violent in the past, and two, your mother would want me to hear you out."
"Don't take his side, mom!" Sarina objects.
"I'm not taking his side, I just want to hear what he has to say." her mother says. She then looks back at you. "Go on then."
You proceed to explain everything to Sarina's mother, starting from when Sarina first called you to do something for her, to her insulting your parents, and ending with the fight. Madeline just sits there and listens, taking in everything you said. She was looking at the damage that you and Sarina did to each other as well. Sarina had bruises on her face, and a bump on her head from when you hit her with the vase. You had claw and shoe marks on your shirt, a mark on your neck from when she chopped you in the throat, and you were limping from that kick to the groin Sarina gave you. After a few seconds of silence, Madeline finally speaks.
"[Your name], whatever your reason may be, you never put your hands on a lady, and I know your parents taught you better than that." she says.
Sarina chuckles, giving you an evil smile.
"Don't think that you're innocent, young lady." the queen says. "From what can see, you've done more damage to [your name] than he's done to you, and his attack wasn't unprovoked either. You had no right to order him to do chores for you, and your father and I have told you that already." Sarina looks at the ground. "Look at me when I'm talking to you." she says sternly, and Sarina looks up at her again.
"As I was saying, you had no right to call [your name]'s parents such things. I can't believe that you would use such language." Madeline stops talking for a second, then continues.
"It's obvious that if this continues, then another fight is likely to occur, so I'm putting a stop to this now. For the next two weeks, both of you will be spending nearly all of your time together, There will even be days where you'll have to go out together to run errands."
"WHAT!" you both say in shock.
"Either that or I tell Thomas." she says. Spending time with Sarina was better than dying, so you keep your mouth shut.
"Now, I suggest that the two of you clean yourselves up before he gets home." with that, you and Sarina were allowed to leave. Now outside, and away from the throne room, Sarina starts complaining.
"This is so not fair!" she says in anger. "Quit bellyaching," you say. "It could be a lot worse."
"Shut up!" she says. "This is all your fault! I hate you!"
"Well it's not like I ever gave you a reason to..." you mumble to yourself. "What was that?!" Sarina yells.
"I said I never gave you a reason to hate me! Ever since I moved here, you've treated me like crap for no reason! What's your issue!?"
Sarina looks at you, surprised, and...
