"You're meeting Princess Twilight Sparkle today, dear nephew," your aunt explained. "Don't you remember when I told you of this event two days ago?"
"I guess I wasn't paying attention," you shrugged. "How come I haven't met her before?"
"She has been rather occupied with her own duties in Ponyville, but now that she finally has some time to spare, my sister and I have arranged for you two to meet. It truly is a momentous occasion."
"Is it really?" you asked skeptically. "Is our meeting supposed to have some big effect on the country."
"No, I'm just really excited!" Luna admitted with a suppressed squeal of excited delight. "I cannot wait to see you and Twilight 'hit it off,' as they say."
You chuckled. Normally, your aunt would get modern expressions wrong, but for once, she got one right. "Well, I hope we do," you said. "When is she gonna be here?"
"In about five minutes. Celestia is already awaiting her arrival at the castle entrance, and we mustn't tarry if we want to get there in a timely manner."
The two of you picked up the pace and hurried down to the castle's front entrance, and the carriage that you assumed was carrying Princess Twilight arrived soon after. Once the door opened, two guards walked out and stood on either side before the young princess emerged. She wore a simple, dark purple dress. and her mane was a little longer than it was on the show, reaching down to around the middle of her back. She gave you and the other royals a smile as she walked up, and you hoped that your first meeting with her would go over well.
