Rachel had just picked up an old necklace in an antique store. She didn't know why she bought it. She was just browsing on her way home from school like she usually does in one or other of the stores she passed by. But the necklace seemed to draw her to it. As she stared at it, she swore the small colored stones on it began to blink and glow, and she felt something in her head repeat, "Buy it. Buy it. Buy me. Buy it." And so she did.
Of course when she got home, her brother, Eric, started annoying her. She tried to ignore him, but he kept following her until finally he grabbed the bag the necklace was in.
"Whatcha got? A present for me?" he teased as he stuck his hand in the bag.
"Not unless you're more of a sissy than you look and act." Rachel spat back.
"Oh, such a pretty thing with such a nasty mouth." he replied pulling the necklace from the bag.
"Yeah, right. Now give it back." she angrily said grabbing for it.
Eric was too quick and pulled it back. "You want this do you. You have to ask nice."
He began to swing the necklace back and forth taunting her with it. Rachel began to concentrate on the necklace to make another attempt to grab it as Eric continued to torment her.
"Here's the prize. Watch it closely. Now ask me pretty please before it disappears."
Rachel's eyes started to glaze over as she watched the necklace, and soon she ...
