Mark walked toward the parking lot while you trailed behind. You see a single white van parked in the lot. "Oh man..." the thought instantly crosses your mind,"He must be a kidnapper! He's going to throw me in the back!" Your ears fold down as the sense of terror wipes over you.
You stand still as Mark continues toward the lot and look around for any way out of the situation. And judging by his heavy build, you could probably outrun him. You contemplate your situation. Either run away and starve in a foreign world, or go with a person who may genuinely want to help you- but he also may be a criminal.
"Hey! Are ya comin' or not? You get shotgun." Mark looked back while opening the driver door. You had enough distance to run for it, if that's what you wanted to do.
