"Healthy Salaket youngster." the barker told his clients. "Fresh from the docks, and at a price of thirteen hundred riol." Do I hear the biddings?"
Some buyers were reluctant to buy the serpentine lad, but some of them were thinking about it, from a man wearing all black robes to a noble business man.
"Fourteen" said the man in black increasing the price to fourteen hundred riol.
"Fourteen Hundred riol, from the man in the black robes. Anyone else with more coin for the lad? May I remind you lot that this here is a special subspecies of the Salaket race, noting here the cobra-like hood." He shows the clients and buyers the slave's cobra hood.
"Nineteen hundred" said the rich business man.
"Nineteen Hundred" the barker repeated to the crowd of buyers. "I dare someone else to up the bid."
"Twenty-two hundred" another man in leather said.
"Twenty-two Hundred" the barker said back. "Do I hear a bid higher."
"Twenty-six" the man in the black robes said.
"Twenty-six hundred riols, for the Salaket lad. Any bids higher?" called the barker. "Twenty-six hundred riols, the standing bid, going Once..."
The other buyers are thinking of how much money they would be spending to buy the Salaket slave-boy.
"Going Twice..." the barker said as the other buyers were planing to outbid or not.
