Jessica Curtis didn't mind living in San Francisco. She was still overwhelmed by living in such a large city as she was from a small town. She was 19 years old and had spend most of those behind her laptop. That said if she wanted to make it as a software developer this was the place to do it. Sure she could moved to Austin Texas where a lot of software jobs were moving to but there two issues with that. The first was that she already living in the bay area and she was starting to make a name for herself with her lines of code which were far superior to anybody else trying to break in to the industry. Jessica loved being in mans industry and outperforming the guys. She took it personally when people said technology was a boys club. Maybe when she could get a company in Austin to pay for everything for her to move she would. That was because of the second problem. She didn't have the money to move especially to pay movers to move her heavy oak furniture. Seriously she thought to herself "Why do I have a dresser that weighs several hundred pounds and a grand bookcase that weighs almost as much when I can buy cheap stuff from Ikea." The simple fact was that Jessica as computer nerd never had the time to exercise. She was constantly going from one project to another as a private contractor making codes work that others couldn't. At 5 foot 4, 133 LBS, red hair, and wearing librarian glasses she looked the part of a nerd as well. The problem was she just did not have the strength to even push her furniture much less move it to a moving van. Paying for movers was not an option right now as it would cut in to her savings. So Jessica decided she would just live in the bay area making a name for herself in the software industry doing a better job then the guys.
It was on this morning that she was walking along a city street along the east side of the city that Jessica stopped in to a coffee shop to grab a cup of coffee. She also knew that she had no milk in her fridge so after asking for milk and sugar in her coffee she also asked to buy the rest of the of the gallon which the coffee shop owner agreed to. After pouring back the coffee so she would have energy to make it back to her apartment Jessica raced home feeling better. In fact she seemed to be walking faster then normal. Weirdly her clothes seemed a little tighter but it was most likely her being tired after being up all night trouble shooting a computer network issue for a company. She put the milk in her fridge and got out of her clothes which was a black t-shirt and jeans. Wearing nothing but her white bra and underwear Jessica purely exhausted collapsed in her bed.
