Tim boarded the plane, a rather small craft, only he and 3 other passengers we're making the trip. He left Erica in charge of things back in the office, she wasn't very attractive, but she was pretty smart. After a long plane ride, Tim arrived at a place he could only describe as the middle of nowhere. The plane landed on a strip of even dirt in the middle of a vast savannah, and as far as he could see, they were alone. He waited an hour or so for a man in a jeep to come pick him up and then drop him off in the tribe's village.
Several hours later, they arrived, Tim being parched and starving. One of the Tribesman, a man named Fauzi, could speak English surprisingly well and he serve as a translator between Tim and the Tribal Elders. The discussions, however, would have to wait, now it was time to eat.
Unaccustomed to the food the tribe enjoyed, Tim found himself sticking mainly to water and some familiar enough food options, though Fauzi urged him to try other, more alien comestibles. He didn't, but did so as respectfully as possible trying to win over the people of the tribe with his apparent kindness and easy going nature.
"Tomorrow," said Fauzi, "We will discuss the matter you wish to speak of, but now the elders will rest."
"I understand," said Tim as kindly as possible, though he didn't want to spend too much time here.
