The Morbid Mystery

Rainbow Dash slowly awoke, only to groan in frustration...again.
For the past week, Rainbow found it harder and harder to take naps on clouds, because they would never remain afloat. They'd be perfectly fine for the first few minutes, but as she'd sleep, the clouds would slowly drift closer towards the earth before she would sink through, waking from her sleep as she would seep through and her stomach would touch the ground.
She'd experimented several times with different sizes and densities, but the result would either be the cloud sinking or her sinking through the cloud.
What could be going on? She thought to herself. Could there be a problem with the cloud production?
She decided that a quick trip to cloudsdale could provide the answer. After all, it might be a fun experience returning to her old hometown.
She readied herself by stretching her wings out and tightening her leg muscles. But just as she lowered herself for takeoff...
*Squish*
Rainbow's eyes widened in surprise as she felt her stomach touch the ground.
She canceled her takeoff and stood up straight, pressing a hoof against her stomach. Sure enough, her belly seemed to hang down five inches further than before.
"That's weird..." She said aloud.
She sat down on a log nearby to examine herself better. Feeling her belly, her stomach sure enough had a larger amount of weight put onto it. However, it wasn't just her stomach. All four of her legs were thicker, particularly her hind legs. Feeling at her face, her cheeks seemed to have a little more puff to them. She could also tell from sitting on the log that her plot had garnered some cush to it.
"What's going on? I usually get a lot of exercise..." Rainbow grew fearful, hoping that her newly fund weight wouldn't hamper her flight.
But then a loud gurgling noise emanated from her stomach. The sound surprised her, as she felt no hunger from it, but her confusion turned to shock as her stomach started to grow. As the sky-blue mass started to gain volume, it reached out further till five inches were added to it. All of her legs grew even softer and chubbier, and she was horrified to feel altitude as her flank pushed her upwards as it expanded.
The flabbergasted pegasus jumped of the log onto all fours. Her Belly now hung down a foot from her back, two-thirds from the ground. Her rump stuck out three more inches from each side, each leg gaining an inch to their diameters.
"W-W...WHAT THE HAY?!!?" She said in shock. What was she going to do?
