You longed to have more fun with this device but you knew that you had to do some experiments first, if you didn't then if something went wrong at least you would have some idea of how to fix it, so you didn't use it for the rest of the day, you left Andrew alone with his new found strength and popularity, and simply sat at the back throughout the remainder of the school day.
Eventually the final bell rang, and your teacher let you all go, you jumped on the bus, and just sat there as bus shot down the roads, till after what felt like an eternity it arrived at your stop, you jumped out and ran down the street, then down your drive and finally up to the front door, you grabbed your key out of your pocket.
You opened the door, and in a flash, you ran round the house gathering everything that you would need, you had the house to yourself for the next good part of two hours, your older sister Julie, always hung out with her friends at the Mall, your younger sister Jane had dance class, your younger brother Jake was at a friend’s house, and parents were still at work.
As you worked you stopped for a brief moment to bonder why all your siblings had the same initials, before shrugging the feeling off and returning to your work, you got your camera, a note book, your tape recorder and your three pet rats, and took the lot down to the garage, once there you set everything up, you got a tape measure and scales, before beginning writing:
Muscle Wand Tests
Test subject A: Brown rat, Length: 6 inches (Not including tail), Weight: 18oz, Gender: Male
Test subject B: Brown rat, Length: 7 inches (Not including tail), Weight: 21oz, Gender: Male
Test subject C: Brown rat, Length: 5 inches (Not including tail), Weight: 13oz, Gender: Female
After that you took your camera and took pictures of the rats (you had an old fashioned instant camera, that produced a picture after each shot, old fashioned maybe but very useful for what you needed it for.) And began your tape recording (Again old fashioned but effective) "I am about to test out my experiments with my new Muscle wand, test subject A: Six inches long, weights 18oz"
You pointed the wand at your rat, and said "Activate" again a bream of bright blue light short out of the wand and then after it stopped a voice said "Reality mode initiated" and the rat began to expand, just like Andrew it grew, its increased a good two inches before stopping, you examined it with your measuring equipment, and went to write this change down in your book, only as you were writing, for you to spot something odd.
The top line had changed, it now read "Test subject A: Brown rat, Length: 8.3 inches (Not including tail), Weight: 21oz, Gender: Male" which was the exact same measurements that it had at the moment, suspicious of this change you then noticed something else odd, looking at the pictures you had taken previously, you discovered that the rat in the picture looked identical, to how the rat looked now, it was like it had never changed.
To confirm your suspicions you played by your recording, it stated "I am about to test out my experiments with my new Muscle wand, test subject A: 8.3 inches long, weights 21oz", you gasped, it was the exact same thing that had happened with Andrew, everyone had reacted to the change as if it hadn’t happened, as you pondered over this, you suddenly remembered what the voice had said, before each change.
Curious, you pointed at your second rat and said "Activate, disable reality mode" and again a bright blue beam shot out of the wand and into the rat, and again, shortly after the beam had dissipated, the rat began to grow, its small muscles expanding, its length increasing, it body mass doubling, once it was finished you ran to your results, to find that you were right, this time they hadn't changed.
Smiling you wrote down your findings, before deciding to do another test, you made Rat A grow another inch, you returned to your notes only to discover that they had changed again, "interesting" you said out loud, it appeared that unless specified the wand always reverts to reality changing, after jotting this down another idea occurred to you, could you also shrink the muscles of another?
You pointed the wand at Test subject A and said "Activate reverse" and this time a dark green beam hit the rat, and soon it shrunk down to the size it had been, you smiled, and decided to do another test, you pointed the wand at Subject C and again said "Activate Reverse", again a dark green beam hit the rat, but this time it didn't get any smaller.
Confused you repeated the test several times on each rat, and discovered that you could only shrink them down to their original sizes, no smaller, and like growing it changed reality unless you told it not to. You were quite pleased with your discoveries and considered calling it a day; however other questions burned in your mind, so you decided to do some more tests.
First you test whether you could control how much the subject grew, and you discovered that to a limited degree you could, you could make them slightly more muscular to hulk, but your control on the variation was limited. Next you tested if you could make them more muscular without increasing their height, so you pointed at Rat C and said "Activate, muscle only" and watched as the yellow beam hit the rat, this time the effects were much quicker, it grew more muscular before the ray stopped firing.
There was only one final question that occurred to you, could you increase the amount of time the proses took, you pointed at Rat A and said "Activate..." you paused for a moment thinking of something to say, before finally coming up with "Time index five minutes", the ray fired, and you watched and waited, and sure enough over five minutes the rat reached the maximum size you had set it.
You smiled at your handy work, happy that you were now armed with this knowledge, you fix any problem you might meet, and go back to having fun, looking at your rats, you sighed and pointed at rat B and said "cancel", there was a flash (Not from the wand, from the rats) and they were all back to the way they were before.
It appeared that saying cancel deleted all changes since the last save, but that was not import now, the question was who to use it on?
