Chapter #6
Jennifer tries to stay calm about this.
by: Unknown
Jennifer felt as if the ground was about to swallow her. All her life she worked for a perfect body; eating the right food, getting plenty exercise and enough hours in the sun for that perfect tan. And now, that was all for nothing, everything was for nothing. She put her hand on the mirror as she saw Melissa do it. "This can't be me." Jennifer whined as she took at the sad face of Melissa. Jennifer grabbed her cheek and pinched it." This had to be a dream, this has to be a dream." Jennifer repeated it like a mantra. But as the pain continued her reflection didn't change.
"This is fucked up." Jennifer cursed as she held her cheeks. Somehow hearing that made her giggle. In all the years that she has known Melissa she had never heard her swear before. A first time for everyone though. Jennifer thought happy but then she was confronted by the situation she was in. She was stuck in Melissa's body. Jennifer tried to think calmly. What to do now? Her first reaction was to freak out and call her friends. But that wasn't an option, no way her friends would believe her.But what to do then? Jennifer thought tapping her feet on the ground. At that moment the clock in the living room rang. Jennifer hated that; it always told her that her parents would be home soon.
Parents? Wait? Jennifer thought as she looked at Melissa's thinking expression. If she was around when her parents would come, they would think she was Melissa. She needed to get out of here and fast! Jennifer already ran to the door, but as she was about to turn the door handle she thought of something. Where would she go? To go to Melissa's house, but where did Melissa live? Jennifer didn't know. Jennifer tried to remember; as she tried she did have a tingling sensation in her brain. Like the knowledge was there somehow, but she couldn't access it. There was another way perhaps. As fast as she could Jennifer ran up the stairs and to her room. Not paying attention to anything else, she opened the drawers of her desk looking for it. She had almost lost hope when she finally found it, stuck away in a far corner of one her drawers. It was the address list from she was in kindergarten. Jennifer quickly went to the H-section and found Melissa's name. Jennifer might not have been brain smart, but she still remembered faces pretty good. She never forgot Melissa was in the same class with her in kindergarten. They didn't hang out even then, but Jennifer still remembered Melissa in class. Even then she was the lonely girl.
Jennifer quickly stood up again and felt the gravity affecting her breasts. She needed to get out of here and to Melissa's place. Jennifer gave the place a thoroughly look; something inside her told her she wouldn't come back soon. Her gaze lingered on two objects. The first object was her teddy bear Cuddles. Cuddles had been with her forever given by her from her dad; she had took him with her everywhere she went. It would be nice if she could bring him with her. Then her eyes focused on the second object; her make-up case. Jennifer never left her home without her make-up and she always had used the stuff in her make-up case for it. She got it from her mom one day; she still remembered fondly as her mother showed how to apply make-up.
But Jennifer couldn't take both objects with her. There was only time for one. Which one should she take with her?
