You are a merchant....have been for years.
You ship anything...from spices and clothes to weapons and ammunition.
No-one dares to attack or raid your ship.
For you have in your employ 70 of the seas most deadly fighters.
In return for protecting your ship, you promise them shelter, food, pay and work.
It is a late thursday and you have been in the local bar for 3 days.
Business is slow and you hate it.
While sipping your drink, a man approaches you.
"Can you ship something for me? I hear you have no qualms about what you ship...."
You sit upright.
"For the most part. I won't ship anything stolen..or anything that doesn't sit well with me..."
The man smiles.
" I need this crate shipped from my house to the islands. Some friends of mine need it there in 4 days.
Can you manage?"
You finish your drink.
"The job will cost you. I'll need 500 gold each way."
" I'll give you 1500 each way if you finish it without any complications."
"done."
You stand and exit the bar.
The next morning...
You and 12 men head to the mans house to pick up the crate.
Knocking on the door, a maid answers.
"We are here to pick up the crate..."
"Come in.
I'm sorry to tell you gentlemen, but the crate broke last night.
You'll have to take the contents as they are."
The maid gestures to a nearby room.
Entering, you see what the crate was holding....
40 Female slaves.
All about little under or over 20 years old.
You hated transporting slaves...you have done it...but always hated it.
You sat there..wondering what to do...
You could still take the job...good money...easy to finish.
or....
You could fight and take the slaves for yourself....
or...
You could take the slaves and try to hide them somewhere...set them free...
All these choices made you shake.
They all had downfalls and consequences.
The maid looks at you...waiting for you to take the slaves.
