This choice: The end of the day, time for... • Go Back... School had ended for the two teens and now they were making their way to get a bite to eat. Class had been rather boring for the pair, both of them were rather bright and things just seemed to drag on. While Tatsuya wouldn't admit it, Homura was always the bright point of his monotonous day. They walked down the city streets, looking for a place that was new just for the sake of it.
"Well, what do you feel like eating Homu?" asked the boy, looking towards his friend who began to thought of what she had a craving for. Lately, she had been wanting something grilled, like barbecued meat or chicken. But that was a bit out of their price-range. They were teenagers after all. So burgers at a fast food joint would suffice. Latching onto his arm, she began to lead him to her restaurant of choice.
"I want burgers Ta-kun." A slight tinge to his face, he let himself be pulled along by the girl, it couldn't hurt after all.

Walking through the double doors, a wave of cold air hit the two teens. Since it was nearing dinner time, the eatery was slightly packed, with longer lines and fewer tables to sit. Placing themselves into line, Homura noticed that many people in the restaurant were from their school. She had also noticed that a few of the girls had stuffed themselves to a great degree. She couldn't place it, but for some reasons she felt a great hunger coming from her midsection.
"Hey, you okay?" asked Tatsuya, seeing how Homura was in pain, it made him feel uneasy.
"O-Oh, I'm fine Ta-kun. I think I was just a bit more hungry than I thought." Placing a hand on his shoulder, she did her best to convince him that she was fine. Truth be told, she had no idea why her hunger had exploded like that, but she did not want to worry her close friend. Finally it was her turn in line and was greeted by the peppy cashier.
"Hi there, welcome to Flabby Pattys! May I take your order?" Looking at the menu display, a feeling came over the long-haired girl. A feeling of immense gluttony.
"I'll have a number six, a number 2, two number fours, a large soda and a strawberry milkshake." Without missing a beat, the cashier placed the order, used to such ridiculous requests. Telling the girl her total, Homura pulled out her cash to pay. Having felt his mouth go agape, the teen placed his order then went over to Homura was nearly drooling in anticipation of her upcoming meals.
"Hey Homura, mind telling me what that was about? I thought you were fine?"
"I am fine Ta-kun. I'm just feeling a bit more hungry than usual." Not entirely coerced, he placed a hand on her forehead to see if she had a fever or not. Her face becoming flushed, she placed one of her hands on top of his and entwining her fingers with his. "I had no idea you were so bold Tatsuya..." Recoiling his hand at a rapid pace, he turned his head away, trying to hide his embarrassment. Homura smiled at her friend, enjoying their little exchange. Perhaps she could teach the boy to act more bold in the future?  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
