“Wait, what?” Dan asked, eyes wide.
“Hey Danny, don’t worry about it and just do it. Okay, Danny?”
Upon Scott finishing his statement, Dan nodded, immediately feeling at ease. He didn’t know what he’d felt so worked up about. Scott probably just needed to move his furniture or something. Grabbing a box, Dan began to walk around the house, gathering anything that was his and setting it inside the box. Upon finishing, he had three boxes he set down on Scott’s table.
“What do you want me to do with them?” He asked, not at all concerned.
Scott and Dan have always been friends. However, Scott has always felt a rivalry with Dan; whatever he did, Dan always seemed to be better. Last night, to hear that Dan had come because he pitied Scott and thought that he might break over the break-up had pushed Scott over the edge; he was not fragile, and he could be just as good as Dan. In fact, if he took Dan out of the picture, he’d be considered one of the best.
And then he was given a way to on a silver platter because now he could make Dan do, think, feel however he wanted.
