This choice: Yes, Villain-Batwoman and Hero-Catman • Go Back...Chapter #6Yes, Villain-Batwoman and Hero-Catman by: Nerdie As Batman stumbled backwards, he immediately felt bizarre sensations coursing through his body. He gripped his chest in pain as his bones cracked and shifted and... changed.
Catwoman wasn't doing much better. While she had expected Batman to experience a strange alteration, the jolt of energy zooming in her veins was an unexpected development. She pushed herself away from the Caped Crusader. This wasn't right. If it malfunctioned and something happened to her and Batman...
She had to get out of here.
Batman reached out to stop her but the shifting sensations were too much. He fell to his knees, only able to watch as Catwoman pushed through roof door and fumbled down the stairs.
The thief had to lean on the railway, struggling down each step. With every second came a new, unusual feeling. Fat moved around, shifting from the chest to fill out an increasing height. Soft skin and a thin waist altered to muscle and strength. The costume began to tear in places, unprepared for its new occupant.
But the strangest feeling of all... was a bizarre new guilt in the pit of her stomach.
On the roof, Batman was struggling with his own changes. His towering height was shrinking, reallocating to fill the same chest area Catwoman lost. Years of bruising and scars vanished and smoothed out. Hands course from training and fighting were now dainty and soft. His muscle hadn't quite vanished, but it was more hidden than usual. His hips and waist, already benefiting from the Wayne genes, found it easy to shift into an hour-glass figure.
Batman took several, long, deep breaths. He was almost swimming in the outfit by now.
Both masked figures paused again, gasping in shock as one more change hit their bodies.
And the changes were complete.
By the time Batwoman recovered enough to chase down her attacker, Catman had vanished into the night.
With a sigh lighter than she would like, Batwoman radioed Alfred. "I'm coming home, Alfred. Don't ask- I'll explain later."
-------
It took some doing to explain the situation to Alfred. Several childhood stories and code words had to be exchanged before the loyal butler finally let this new woman into the cave.
And now here she was, standing in front of a mirror, looking herself over.
Several thoughts leaped from Batwoman's analytical mind.
1. I'm going to kill Selina.
2. Muscle mass changed, but not vanished. Still have power to win most fights.
3. Temporary suit is going to be necessary. Adjust for shifts in balance. Add some weight to what I've lost.
4. More than one suit, actually. There are some pros to this. One suit to emphasize fear, need to keep striking fear. But... there could be something to using this body to a different advantage.
Batwoman did not consider why this thought leaped so quickly to the surface.
5. Bruce Wayne... he's on vacation. A cousin- no, too much attention. An assistant? Possible. Perhaps, there should be more identities for more suits. A wealthy socialite could get into the same places as Bruce and an assistant could get into places he couldn't.
She flicked with her hair a little. It was a bit short. She was sure it was longer than it was but it could be improved.
6. Style it into something more attractive.
And while she was at it-
"Master Bruce?" She turned quickly at the sound of her loyal butler. He was carrying a small pile of women's clothing. "Leftover from some of your many romances, I imagine."
"Thank you, Alfred." Voice. That was going to take some getting used to. Lighter. She'd have to experiment with different tones and inflections.
He was looking at her strangely. "You seem to be taking this... better than expected, Master Bruce."
"Its just a little change." She ignored his raised eyebrow. "And its temporary. As soon as we find Selina, I steal back what she stole from me."
"The sooner the better, sir."
She gave a non-committal hum, looking through the outfits. "I'll need some new identities in the mean time. Something that people won't look too closely at."
"I'll begin preparation for the fake IDs, sir."
"Very good, Alfred."
Batwoman was quick to focus on the work ahead of her. She didn't have time to consider any other changes she might be unaware of. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
